OncoImmunin, Inc. is developing fluorogenic substrates for the detection of viral infections in cells and tissues. Our approach is similar to that successfully employed in our other products- a peptide substrate is designed that is specific for a viral proteolytic activity. Detection of substrate cleavage, either intracellularly or in tissues, is a convenient marker for a specific virus.
